  • All templates are delivered as Microsoft Word (.docx) files. You can edit them freely with your business details, logo, and any specific clauses you need.

  • Yes. Every template is drafted by practising HR and Industrial Relations professionals and aligns with the Fair Work Act 2009, the National Employment Standards, and relevant Modern Awards (where applicable). They are reviewed and updated regularly.

  • Award contracts are for employees whose role is covered by a Modern Award. The contract must reference and comply with the minimum terms set out in that Award, including pay rates, hours, penalty rates, and leave. Most employees in Australia are covered by an Award.

    Non-Award contracts are for employees who are not covered by any Modern Award. These are typically senior managers, high-income professionals, or roles in industries without a relevant Award. Non-Award contracts give you more flexibility to structure remuneration and conditions, but must still meet the 11 minimum entitlements under the National Employment Standards (NES).

  • Most employees in Australia are covered by a Modern Award. The Award that applies depends on your industry and the type of work the employee actually performs, not their job title. An employee can be award-free if no Modern Award covers their role. 

    Getting this wrong is serious. If you need certainty, our Expert Setup Consultation will confirm your Award coverage and correct classification.
